Kagehashi Japan (Day 4)

National History Museum | Sawara City

Our first full day in Chiba started at the National History Museum. There were 6 parts that covered Japan's history from the Paleolithic era to the present day. Because we had limited time, as usual, I explored Folk Traditions gallery and Japan in the World War eras.

CelebrateART Fashion Show part. III

Over the weekend, we had a little dress rehearsal in Rice's spacious sculpture studio. We took some publicity photos in an adjacent courtyard used to advertise the show on Facebook!

If I haven't mentioned before, the fashion show focuses more on accessories, hair and makeup while keeping the clothing black and simple. This is the theme that ties all of the designer's creations together!

Below are my models:

Our makeup artists putting green, gold and yellow eyeshadow on.

Those flowers look damn reallllll.

My only male model wearing the spray-painted Viking helmet and an 80's leather skirt from Japan.

The tall goth boots really made the outfit - what a find!

Here are some of the other models for another designer.

CelebrateART Fashion Show part. II

Supplies: Hat, fake flowers, viking helmet, dog collar, black spray paint. After spending the day going to Michael's, Petco and Buffalo Exchange, I was finally ready to start constructing my model's outfits. Nothing was too challenging - just poisonous fumes from gratuitous amounts of spray paint.

Also picked up these badboys for $18. T'was a good shopping day.

CelebrateART Fashion Show part. I

Here was my inspiration moodboard:
