CelebrateART Fashion Show part. III

Over the weekend, we had a little dress rehearsal in Rice's spacious sculpture studio. We took some publicity photos in an adjacent courtyard used to advertise the show on Facebook!

If I haven't mentioned before, the fashion show focuses more on accessories, hair and makeup while keeping the clothing black and simple. This is the theme that ties all of the designer's creations together!

Below are my models:

Our makeup artists putting green, gold and yellow eyeshadow on.

Those flowers look damn reallllll.

My only male model wearing the spray-painted Viking helmet and an 80's leather skirt from Japan.

The tall goth boots really made the outfit - what a find!

Here are some of the other models for another designer.

CelebrateART Fashion Show part. II

Supplies: Hat, fake flowers, viking helmet, dog collar, black spray paint. After spending the day going to Michael's, Petco and Buffalo Exchange, I was finally ready to start constructing my model's outfits. Nothing was too challenging - just poisonous fumes from gratuitous amounts of spray paint.

Also picked up these badboys for $18. T'was a good shopping day.

CelebrateART Fashion Show part. I

So Rice is hosting an art festival called CelebrateArt and I'm one of the coordinators and designers for the fashion show. Here are some of the designs I came up with for 3 models. I'll update you guys more on the actual construction of the outfits!

Here was my inspiration moodboard:

moshi moshi

My favorite kawaii goods store is back in business! Moshi Moshi is a small shop in Chinatown, Houston located next to Tapioca House. I was so surprised by their wide variety of cute stuff at reasonable prices, which are even cheaper than those on the internet. I'm seriously going to make sure that store never goes out of business again - SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Some goodies I picked up for myself.

dolce delights

As a treat for the first week of school, I went to Dolce Delights in Midtown for dessert. It was a cute dessert shop decorated in blackboards, macaron trees and modern furniture. The little cakes we got were so precious! Mine was a lavender honey mousse cake topped with glittery salted caramel. The flavor was really rich and it fit so well altogether.

I definitely recommend this place - I've never seen or had dome cakes like the ones they have here! They also have coffee, tea and other pastries.

I N S T A X

For Christmas, my bf got me a super cute white Instax 20 camera and I went crazzyyy over it! I rushed to Urban Outfitters to buy overpriced film just so I could use it. The colors are really interesting but I'm still figuring out how to get the exact effect I want. I hope to buy an album soon to capture all my photos~

Why the Rilakuma theme (please don't sue me!)? There are these cute Rilakkuma instax film I really want that has graphics preprinted on the border. JUST LOOK AT THEM!

CLOTHES FROM CHINA

My cousin from China sent me a bunch of clothes she bought me! It seems as if everyone in China is wearing long sleeved dress with an A-line cut which I absolutely adore.

MAGIC KINGDOM

Dress by Angel Voice | Boots by Rubi | Purse by Coach | Tights by BCBG
An outfit post from inside the Magic Kingdom! Yep, I was on a family vacation to Disney World. The last time I came here was about 10 years ago so everything was really nostalgic. Despite all the kiddy rides, I had a lot of fun.

The front gate -  I was so ecstatic, even more so than my two younger cousins.

HOLIDAY LOOT

Hey guys! I just got back from my vacation in Disneyworld and it was a blast! I have pictures and stories to share but that will be in a later longer post. Here are some stuffs I bought over winter break - LET ME SHARE THEM WITH YOU!

I got this super cute sticker set and postcard from the Japanese gift shop at Epcot. Omg I cutegasmed when I went in because of all the Shinzi Katoh items. There was also lots of Sanrio, Totoro and Pokemon goodies.

Necklace, Belt, Shorts by F21 | Hat by Rubi | Boots by Nurture | Leather Jacket by Kenar (thrifted)
Because my cousin is here for break, she and I went shopping almost every day - seriously, we went to like three malls. Also, my dad bought me the Chelsea style boots I've been wanting for a while as a Christmas present!
